Our solutions are approximately 0.9% salt in the regular Simply Saline™ product and approximately 3% in Allergy and Sinus. However, since we do not have a standard recommended dose, the consumer’s salt exposure depends on how the product is used. The water in Simply Saline comes from a municipal water source. It is not distilled, but it does go through a rigorous purification process. It is first passed through a series of natural filters, followed by a membrane filtration. It is then subjected to reverse osmosis followed by deionization. As a result of this treatment the water that is used is of the highest purity and contains essentially no dissolved molecules or ions. It is free of fluoride.
